Continue to review violin and bow hold every day. I see sometimes when we are focusing on putting fingers down those things get very unusual looking.
-Mississippi Hot Dog on open strings. Focus on pulling the bow parallel to the bridge (remember only forearm should move, not the entire arm)
-E String Concerto and A String Concerto (also for steady rhythm)
1) Sing and hold up fingers
2) Then try on violin with parent help
3) Then try alone
E- Do you Want a pickle?
E1 (F#)- Yes I want a pickle!
E-Do you want a pickle
A- On your icecream sandwich
String Crossing: Keep the weight on the bow and move the elbow up and down to change strings (looks like a see saw)
The following link has many pictures of a correct bow hold from many angles for your reference.
